Ms. Twait is an associate at Mandell Menkes. She has extensive experience in complex litigation pending in both state and federal courts and has litigated a broad range of matters including defamation claims, contractual disputes, class actions, intellectual property disputes and consumer fraud claims. She also has represented clients in employment related matters for violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and breach of employment agreements including non-compete, non-disclosure, and confidentiality agreements.


Ms. Twait is involved in all aspects of her cases including managing e-discovery, preparing and arguing dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, representing clients during settlement conferences and mediations and actively participating in both arbitrations and trials. She is a member of the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois and has trial experience in both federal and state courts.  Ms. Twait is licensed to practice in Illinois, Missouri, Northern District of Illinois, Southern District of Illinois, Eastern District of Missouri and Northern District of Ohio.


Selected highlights of Ms. Twait’s recent successes include:

  • In 2018, prevailed on a motion for contempt in bankruptcy court against a debtor and its president.
  • In 2018, obtained an order granting summary judgment on a tortious interference claim.
  • In 2017, prevailed on a motion for summary judgment on all claims on behalf of an insurer.
  • In 2017, succeeded in obtaining a temporary restraining order freezing a majority of a shareholder’s personal assets in federal court for a client seeking to pierce the corporate veils of two entities in order to collect on a judgment.


Ms. Twait was recently named as one of the 2018 American Bar Association on the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers.


Ms. Twait serves on the board of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law and has been selected as a member of the Executive Committee and Treasurer of the Coalition for 2018. She is also actively involved with Girls on the Run Chicago.
