The American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Communications Law holds an annual three day conference each year focusing on new developments and hot topics in the field of media law. At this year’s conference in Miami Beach, Florida, Natalie Harris served as lead facilitator for the Hot Issues in Advertising and Promotions workshop. Natalie led a panel discussion of corporate and outside counsel focusing on a variety of topics including promotions and gaming, advertising regulated/illegal goods and services such as marijuana, firearms and gambling and the FTC endorsement guides and emerging technology. Natalie’s workshop presentation focused on developments in the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) landscape in the wake of the landmark ACA Int’l v. FCC decided by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in March 2018.
