Mandell Menkes Prevails in Jury Trial in Defamation Suit Brought by Northwestern University Professor

Mandell Menkes won a complete victory in the Northern District of Illinois for its client, a forensic accountant accused of defamation and conspiracy to commit defamation, by a Northwestern University professor. After a week-long trial, the jury ruled in favor of Mandell Menkes’ client on both counts. District court judge Matthew Kennelly subsequently denied plaintiff’s motion for a new trial and to alter or amend judgment.
