On September 14, 2021, Steve Mandell appeared before the Illinois Appellate Court for the First District to argue for the Appellees in Joseph Fox v. Crain Communications, Inc. Michael Arndt and Lynne Marek, pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Steve, along with Mandell Menkes attorney, Brian Saucier, had successfully represented  Crain (the publisher of Crain’s Chicago Business), Arndt, one of its editors, and Marek, one of its reporters, in winning summary judgement in the trial court on Fox’s defamation and false light claims.
